The Peperomia Green Bean, formally known as Peperomia Ferreyrae, is a captivating perennial succulent native to South American rainforests. With its long, bean-like lime green leaves, this epiphytic plant has earned endearing nicknames like "happy bean" or "pincushion peperomia."
Finding the right balance is crucial, as both overwatering and underwatering can harm the plant, but overwatering is much worse. Aim to water every 7-10 days, adjusting according to the season and environmental conditions. Ensure the soil is dry before watering, and allow excess water to drain. If plant is underwatered, it will begin to look pale and wrinkled.
While the Peperomia Green Bean can tolerate low light conditions, it thrives in bright, filtered light environments. Direct sunlight should be avoided, as it can scorch the leaves. Normal humidity levels are suitable. DO NOT MIST YOUR PEPEROMIA. It does not like that at all.
Keep an eye out for mealybugs, indicated by cottony white masses on leaves and stems.
IMPORTANT: BEANS ARE NOT EDIBLE.
